I heard the power plant in the photo (0072) is running out of money and may not stay open much longer. This is great news for Salem. A group of people tried to shutdown this plant years ago, for them this news must be very exciting. Lets just hope its true and that some corporation with deep pockets does not decide to lend a helping hand. Next up is the Seabrook nuclear plant. Although (unlike the Salem plant) they are doing well and have recently filed for an extension to continue to put the lives of thousands in jeopardy. I imagine they can line enough pockets to ensure that reality for years to come. There is really nothing better than looking west over the Seabrook inlets to see boats rock gently against a backdrop of nuclear turbines. At least it keeps beachfront property values relatively low.
